Under the patronage of UNESCO & official partner Saint-Gobain, the President of the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture, Jana Revedin, have announced during the ceremony and symposium in Venice the UNESCO Global Award for Sustainable Architecture 2024. “The UNESCO Global Awards honor the most relevant architects working on ecologically responsible designs; that respond to the ethical, civil and social concerns of today; and innovate in the areas of ecology, energy, materials and technology. The recipients are Andrés Jaque USA, marina tabassum Bangladesh, Ciro Pirondi, Brazil, IWlab Iyas Shahin & Al Asali, and Klaus Klaas Loenhart Austria/Germany.”

Created in 2006 by the visionary architect PROF DR. Jana Revedin (Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture Paris, France), Founder & President, the award recognizes five living architects, urban or landscape designers who share the principles of sustainable development and a participatory architectural approach to the needs of society, in both the northern and southern hemispheres.

Over the years, the Award, whose powerful motto is “Dare, transmit, federate”, has become a key platform for scientific independence, a community of collective research and experimentation exploring a new definition of progress and the right balance between humankind and the environment.
